Project Mgmt, Transformation & Strategy - Project Mgmt, Transformation & StrategyThe Project Management Office (PMO) is accountable for driving transformational change across various functional areas of Prudential. We provide solutions to support our partners and enable them to achieve success. The PMO leads complex, cross-functional and Enterprise initiatives in support of Prudential’s vision and strategy and plays a vital role in driving Prudential’s transformation progress. We partner with our stakeholders as a trusted advisor to form and integrate the project team, select and establish a project management approach, and ensure outcome driven solutions. As a Manager, Project Management in the PMO, you will have the opportunity to lead key initiatives and projects to support the delivery of successful business outcomes, while enhancing your business acumen and leadership experience.
What you'll do:
Serve as the single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering one or more strategic initiative(s):
Lead complex and/or, large-scale projects involving multiple internal, external partners.
Achieve maximum business value by orchestrating scope, quality, and resource/cost tradeoffs within required timeframes.
Facilitate problem solving in team environments and address conflict head-on.
Understand the interconnectivity of the Prudential businesses and corporate areas, facilitate interaction and communication among key stakeholders to drive successful integration.
Design overall communication and change management plans; coordinate, develop and deliver communications and change management where applicable.
Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on all aspects of your initiatives.
Drive and influence issue resolution across all involved partners and stakeholders.
Develop all necessary project management artifacts in support of the project outcomes.
Contribute to cultivating an environment of engagement, through inclusive leadership.
What you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years relevant work experience).
Demonstrated success maximizing business value as a leader of large and/or complex, strategic initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to understand business partner and team needs; uses outside-in perspective to solve business challenges and identify solutions.
Demonstrated relationship management skills - ability to grow productive, trusting relationships with sponsors, key stakeholders and project team(s) and easily establish your role as a leader on new initiatives, mentor to junior associates.
Ability to influence project stakeholders without direct authority to achieve successful integration and desired outcomes.
Ability to thrive in ambiguously defined environments and to absorb knowledge quickly; fostering an environment of continuous improvement and high adaptability to change.
Strong executive presentation skills, both oral and written, including ability to provide constructive feedback, as well as delivering crucial conversations with poise and accountability.
Strong communication skills, able to tailor communication style to effectively meet the needs of audience at all levels of the organization/
Champion of tech-forward approach, influences the adoption of Pru technologies
This position is hybrid with expectations of in-office collaboration at least three days a week. Additional in-office time may be required based on project assignments and team collaboration needs. While this position is based in Newark, travel may be required at times.
