Manager, Product Management, Sustainability Solutions
Overview
Rooted in Mastercard’s core value of Doing Well by Doing Good, our Sustainability Consumer Products team helps customers blend purpose with profit by creating products that inspire and enable eco-friendly choices. Leveraging assets such as the Carbon Calculator, Priceless Planet Coalition, and innovative donation technologies like Mastercard Donate, we make it simple for individuals and businesses to contribute to positive social and environmental impact. Through these efforts, we aim to drive engagement and loyalty while advancing a more sustainable digital economy.
The Role:
The successful candidate will support the exploration and development of new product opportunities within Mastercard’s sustainability portfolio. This role provides exposure to both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, supporting the creation and delivery of innovative products in new opportunity areas. Responsibilities include:
· Identify whitespace opportunities by researching emerging trends, customer needs, and sustainability innovations
· Assist in shaping concepts and early-stage product ideas, contributing to roadmap discussions
· Support frame and prototype creation and MVP development, working closely with engineering and design teams
· Participate in testing and validation to ensure quality and market readiness
· Conduct competitive analysis and market research and share insights to inform product requirements
· Help maintain clear product documentation and improve lifecycle processes
· Collaborate across teams to prepare for launch activities and monitor initial performance metrics

Ideal candidates are curious, purpose-driven, and eager to learn. Key attributes include:
· Previous experience in product management or product development
· Interest in sustainability and creating products with positive social and environmental impact
· Familiarity with AI tools and concepts, and a willingness to apply AI literacy in day-to-day work
· Ability to contribute to both strategic thinking and hands-on execution in product development
· Comfort working in agile environments and collaborating across diverse teams
· Analytical mindset with creativity and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving
· Good communication skills and ability to build trust within cross-functional teams
· Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
· Bachelor’s degree required; technical background preferred
· English proficiency required; additional languages are a plus
· Experience in sustainability, payments, or digital innovation is a bonus, but not mandatory
