Why Join the Product Definition Team?
We are looking for an experienced technical leader to supervise a group of technologists/analysts responsible for the preparation, validation, and lifecycle management of the engineering product definition deliverables (3D CAD, Drawings, Tolerance Stack-ups, Change Orders, etc.) produced for the Externals, Controls and Nacelles (ECN) module. The team also provides technical support to the ECN design/analytical groups and collaborates extensively with other engineering modules.
This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Mississauga, and performed exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Manage assigned program tasks within budget and schedule; tracks progress to milestones.
Prioritize, plan, and distribute work to team members
Coordinate workload with other product definition groups in Canada and Poland as needed.
Review and approve engineering change documentation.
Provide technical leadership and guidance as needed and ensure appropriate subject matter expertise is consulted to solve design or quality problems.
Be responsible for evaluating team and individual performance.
Support recruiting, hiring activities and development of team members.
Participate in / lead improvement initiatives within the product definition organization.
What do you need to be successful?
College Degree in Engineering Technology with a minimum of 10 years of experience; or Engineering Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Expertise in model-based definition practices, 2D/3D CAD and proficiency in GD&T.
Thorough knowledge of the product definition processes and configuration management practices related to New Product Introduction and Post-Certification programs.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
Very good communication skills (written and spoken).
Adaptability and ability to manage priorities, project schedules, and department budget.
Strong interest in mentoring others and actively promoting the career
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment; it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

The salary range for this role is 101,500 CAD - 151,500 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
