The Procurement Manager will provide leadership and oversight of a dynamic team of procurement professionals procuring commodity aligned hardware and software for the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, AMS Division located in Linthicum, MD. This position reports to the AMS General Procurement Manager and has supervisory responsibility for a team of Supply Chain Procurement Specialists.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team performing all phases of the procurement process, to include the preparation, negotiation, and administration of a mixed portfolio of procurements and assuring compliance with company procedure and government regulations. 
  • Work closely with the AMS General Procurement Manager and AMS Site Procurement Lead to meet sector and organizational strategy and objectives and to manage oversight of the employees work product and individual career development needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with the skills to influence others, interact successfully with peers, and with all levels of management in the organization.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with experience in fostering an engaging environment for others and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex procurement roadblocks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with a minimum 5 years of Supply Chain (or related and relevant) experience
  • 1+ year of team lead or management of people
  • Experience in executing and managing procurements in support of Government customers. 
  • Experience in successful supplier management
  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Experience
  • Experience with FAR and/or DFAR requirements
  • Experience negotiating complex contracts or long term supplier agreements on terms and/or pricing

Primary Level Salary Range: $105,600.00 - $157,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
