This role plays a critical part in supporting the Group CFO, Executive Leadership Team and Board to make informed investment decisions. You’ll help shape how CommBank allocates capital, evaluates investments, and drives long‑term value creation aligned to the Group’s strategy.

You’ll join the Group Financial Reporting & Analysis (FR&A) team within Group Finance. The Investment Reporting & Analysis team partners closely with senior finance, M&A, strategy and business stakeholders, overseeing the Group’s equity investment portfolio and supporting strategic capital allocation across both external and internal investment initiatives.
Your impact
- Deliver Group‑wide investment spend reporting, analysis, planning and forecasting
- Assess the financial effectiveness, efficiency and value delivery of internal investment initiatives, including benefits realisation, return profiles and alignment to strategic objectives
- Provide financial due diligence and valuation support for equity investments, including M&A transactions, divestments and strategic partnerships
- Develop, review and challenge detailed financial models (DCF, comparables, scenario and sensitivity analysis)
- Assess value creation, financial risks and key assumptions underpinning investment decisions
- Partner with Finance, M&A, Strategy and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality analysis and insights for investment committees, ELT and Board materials
- Manage performance reporting and insights across the Group’s equity investment portfolio
- Drive productivity, simplification and process improvements across key reporting and analysis processes
- Contribute to a strong, collaborative team culture and uphold CommBank’s Code of Conduct
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
- Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical and financial modelling capability
- Experience in transaction services, valuations, investment analysis or corporate finance or banking or financial services
- Proven experience supporting senior stakeholders with clear, concise and decision‑ready insights
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast‑paced, high‑exposure environment
- CA or CPA or CFA qualification
