What is the opportunity
RBC Investor Services is seeking a Manager, Payments Reconciliation and Investigation, to lead and enhance their due diligence and monitoring initiatives. This role is crucial in ensuring the organization's compliance with regulatory mandates and maintaining its integrity in the financial industry. The manager will be at the forefront of investigating transactions, refining detection methods, and implementing robust processes to mitigate financial risks.
What Will You Do?
Conduct thorough investigations and enhanced transaction monitoring, reviewing wire transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and risk mitigation goals.
Implement and refine monitoring processes, including enhancing existing transaction monitoring rules and addressing additional inquiries.
Analyze and report on the impact of these processes, collaborating on report development to assess operational enhancements and determine necessary actions.
Maintain and update financial crime monitoring processes to ensure long-term regulatory compliance.
Lead enhanced transaction monitoring for high-risk jurisdictions, utilizing advanced analytics to detect potential financial crimes.
Design and implement investigative workflows to resolve operational issues and ensure timely compliance risk remediation.
Provide strategic oversight to align monitoring practices with evolving regulations.
Manage and lead a team of associates, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
Must-Haves:
Undergraduate degree, and 5+ years or relevant experience in the industry
Extensive experience in financial crime investigation and transaction monitoring.
Experience with advanced analytics and scenario-based detection techniques.
Strong knowledge of regulatory mandates and compliance standards in the financial industry.
Proven ability to refine and enhance monitoring processes and detection methodologies.
Analytical skills to assess process impact and develop reports.
Leadership and management experience, with the ability to foster a culture of integrity.
Strategic thinking to align monitoring practices with regulatory changes.
Nice-to-Have:
Familiarity with sanctions evasion, money laundering, and fraud detection.
Process improvement and workflow design skills.
Ability to manage and motivate a team, promoting a culture of accountability.
Understanding of RBCIS's leadership model and its application.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$67,000.00 - $110,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location. If the posting lists multiple job locations, a recruiter can confirm availability of the role and the relevant pay rage for the additional locations listed.
