Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Software and Networks to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The successful candidate will create an inclusive culture in a geographically diverse environment providing strong leadership and clear communication to manufacturing operations representatives to enable a cybersecure and real-time digitally enabled factory.

 

The team mission is to develop, deploy, and support modern cyber secure network infrastructure as well as digital connectivity software solutions to bridge the gap between our manufacturing operational technology (OT) and IT systems to enable real-time visibility into and analysis of our manufacturing execution.  This position will oversee staff at multiple locations across the US, supporting all manufacturing sites in the NGMS Sector.  As such, the selected candidate will be excellent at communicating and working with team members remotely.  The manager position will oversee projects and team members providing network engineering and administration, software engineering, system engineering, application and system administration, and agile team support roles.  This will be a dual role in functional and project management.  The successful candidate will have experience with and understanding of networking infrastructure and software development.

 

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

•Direct supervision/management of 19 team members supporting manufacturing operations software and networking systems

Interact with NGMS users on variety of matters—tactical and strategic--related to IT systems and solutions that impact manufacturing operations.

•Lead ongoing continuous improvement efforts to improve existing internal processes and integration with other teams

•Provide guidance and oversight to employees to complete key deliverables

•Understanding manufacturing operations needs and use cases to lead the team toward enablement of business objectives

•Provide technical leadership to team to drive quality, speed, and affordability

•Guide team members in career path, identifying and assigning stretch assignments and communicating growth areas

•Recruit and on-boarding new employees

 

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s Degree in with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

-3 or more years as a leader of a technical team

-5 or more years working in software, networking, cyber security, analytics, or manufacturing

-US Citizenship is required as well as eligibility to obtain a US Government clearance following hire.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience with software engineering, the SDLC, and managing customer requirements

-Experience with network engineering and administration

-Experience in manufacturing

-Experience with Agile practices and managing agile teams

-Experience managing geographically diverse technical groups servicing multiple customers

-Experience managing a budget

 

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,200.00 - $199,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
