The Manager of Field Application Specialists Territory will be responsible for developing the territorial field application specialist team to meet regional focus market requirements, related customer requirements and fit our technical leading position with our company’s image as a total solution provider. The holder of this position will build, manage, and lead the field application specialist team in accordance with the strategy, field executional and operational plan and priorities of the division and territory to achieve our sales target, both by creating new business whilst maintaining existing business.

The Manager of Field Application Specialists Territory will be responsible for developing the territorial field application specialist team to meet regional focus market requirements, related customer requirements and fit our technical leading position with our company’s image as a total solution provider. The holder of this position will build, manage, and lead the field application specialist team in accordance with the strategy, field executional and operational plan and priorities of the division and territory to achieve our sales target, both by creating new business whilst maintaining existing business.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Allocate and manage the field application specialist resources in conjunction with regional sales managers in an efficient way to achieve the territorial sales target.

  • Develop and implement customer strategies and tactics in conjunction with sales management to achieve business targets based on market analysis and customer potential analysis.

  • Align with regional product marketing team to improve the technical capability of each individual field application specialist and develop them into subject matter experts.

  • Promote strategic solution offerings in high level sales scenarios, conferences, or other channels.

  • Support process/solution based technical request from key or strategic accounts directly.

  • Provide PD & PDS with the updated customer feedbacks to Sartorius product/process/solution.

  • Build and maintain strong relationship with key product users and opinion leaders at our key/strategic accounts.

  • Lead and develop a team of Field Application Specialists through an effective training program, development, and mentoring.

  • Other technical initiatives based on requests. 

  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree or equivalent combination of education in Biotechnology, Biochemistry,

    Bioengineering, or life sciences related major, PHD is preferred.

  • Min.5 years working experience in biopharma, including min.3 years technical support related experience, and min. 2 leadership experience.

  • Sufficient knowledge of Biopharma related process, product, and technology as well as market knowledge (Customers, Competitors & Regulations) and certain network in the biopharmaceutical industry.

  • Solid project Management and problem-solving related skills, and ability to effectively present technical information.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative leading, coach and people development, operational decision making.

  • Know how to deal with conflicts, especially in dealing with customer complaints.

  • Autonomy, Discipline, Focus, Customer Oriented, self-motivated and can motivate others.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
