Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Rockwell's Investor Relations and Market Strategy organization as the Manager of Market Strategy. In this visible and engaging role, you will support our VP Investor Relations and Market Strategy and our senior leadership in tracking market trends, monitoring the competitive landscape, and communicating Rockwell's value proposition and competitive differentiation. This requires a profound understanding of our value proposition to customers, organizational difference, and strategy.
You will report to the VP, Investor Relations and Market Strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a broad set of company partners including executive leadership, Corporate Strategy, business segments and Sales and Marketing to serve as the subject matter expert on competitive intelligence
- Establish like-for-like comparisons between Rockwell and competitors across areas such as financial performance, product competitiveness, and commercial excellence to support a clear picture of Rockwell's competitive positioning
- Monitor and research competitor, end market, and customer activity and industry trends to provide intelligence to our teams
- Track evolving market themes and investor interests to help leadership stay informed on important industry narratives and develop agreement on important investment priorities with the goal of increasing Rockwell's investor ownership relative to peers
- Support preparation for important company events and executive meetings by compiling competitive intelligence, developing background materials, and summarizing important insights post-meetings
- Help update messaging materials that highlight areas of Rockwell's competitive differentiation
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- MBA
- Typically requires 6+ years related experience, including 3+ years of work experience in industrial automation
- Basic financial analysis
- Understanding of the industrial automation market
- Experience working with, informing, and presenting to C-level executives
- Experience taking complex information and insights and developing "ready to use" formats and presentations.
- Experience working collaboratively with product development, sales and marketing, finance, and other parts of the organization
- Experience assessing financial performance and business structures
