Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an action-oriented manager to lead our Supplier Quality (SQ) Insights team as a part of the Data Analytics & Digital Integration (DA&DI) organization.

As the manager, you will lead the team responsible for the analytics support of the Supplier Quality organization. This team has a significant scope of responsibility including highly embraced tools used monitoring performance health across the value stream and gain actionable insights. This team partners and works closely with other teams within BDS Supplier Quality, BDS Supply Chain, and the BCA Supplier Quality organizations.

As the manager, you will be responsible for establishing the process that takes new ideas through implementation and maintenance. The ability to partner with senior leaders across organizations will be critical to your success in this role. This will help drive user adoption of our existing suite of tools, as well as aligning on priorities to ensure the team is focused on the highest value work statement to enhance BDS’s operational performance across the value stream.

You will also be responsible for building the strategy around the usage of predictive analytics and how it can be the utilized to add the most value to business objectives. You will be partnering within the DA&DI team to incorporate these predictive capabilities into our existing tool suite, as well as building new tools around those capabilities that have the largest business impact.  In addition, partnering across the DA&DI and IT teams to support an integrated and full value-stream data pipeline that can be utilized as the primary source of machine learning capabilities.

 

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, statistics, operations research, information systems, economics, computer science or similar quantitative fields).
  • 3+ years’ Experience with systems architecture and data process flow
  • 3+ years’ Experience with statistics for making business decisions, data visualization, and analytics
  • 3+ years’ Experience building tools that incorporate predictive analytics capabilities (machine learning)
  • 3+ years’ Experience leading multiple internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute projects
  • 5+ years in an agile software development (or similar) leadership role
  • 5+ years of experience working in Quality, Manufacturing, Business Operations, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree or higher in quantitative field / MBA
  • High Performing Development Practice – Experience attracting, developing, and challenging world class developers with a passion to drive excellence in software development.
  • Industry Trends & Best Practices – Possesses a thoughtful point of view on industry trends impacting data analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning. 
  • Experience leading a virtual team

  

Relocation

   This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility (Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on candidate eligibility if not already near a major BDS site)

 

Travel

   Position may require travel up to 10% of the time-Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $158,950-$196,350
