Job Description

We are seeking a high-caliber Manager, Investor Relations to lead and execute AirAsia MOVE’s fundraising strategy and manage relationships with key institutional and strategic investors. This role is highly strategic, requiring a deep understanding of high-growth technology/OTA business models, capital markets, and a proven track record of successful deal execution. The ideal candidate will come from a Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), or Investment Banking background with experience in TMT (Technology, Media, Telecoms) or consumer-tech sectors, possessing a deal-maker mindset and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fundraising and Capital Strategy

  • Lead key aspects of capital raising efforts for AirAsia MOVE, including equity and strategic financing rounds.

  • Develop, model, and articulate a compelling investment thesis, valuation narrative, and financial projections to potential investors.

  • Spearhead the creation of all investor materials (pitch decks, financial models, data rooms, etc.), ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment with company goals.

  • Manage the end-to-end fundraising process, including due diligence, term sheet negotiation, and transaction closing.

2. Investor Engagement & Relations

  • Proactively engage with a global network of VCs, PE firms, strategic corporate investors, and sovereign wealth funds.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external investors, financial analysts, and the wider investment community.

  • Execute a best-in-class investor relations program to ensure consistent, transparent, and accurate communication of our financial performance, strategy, and market positioning.

  • Organise and manage investor roadshows, quarterly updates, and investor conferences.

3. Financial Analysis & Strategic Projects

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor valuations, and industry benchmarks (e.g., OTA, Superapps, TravelTech).

  • Collaborate with the CEO and CFO on long-term strategic planning, M&A opportunities, and corporate development initiatives.

  • Provide critical financial and market intelligence to the Executive Team to inform key business and investment decisions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, or a similar high-impact Corporate Finance role within a technology company.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and closing multi-million or multi-hundred-million-dollar fundraises/transactions. Experience with pre-IPO rounds or public market preparation is a significant advantage.

  • Deep expertise in financial modelling, valuation techniques (DCF, multiples), and presenting complex financial data simply and persuasively.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate a complex growth story to sophisticated institutional investors.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA or MBA is a plus.

  • Strong network within the global or APAC PE/VC/Investment community is highly desirable.
