We are seeking a talented individual to join our investments team at Mercer | a Marsh business. This role will be based in Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Level D – Lead Specialist / Manager Search & Selection Analyst
The Lead Specialist / Manager Search & Selection Analyst is responsible for supporting the manager selection process by consolidating manager responses, conducting detailed analysis, and facilitating peer reviews. This role involves engaging with central managers search teams for new managers, running comparative analysis on client strategy and performance, and preparing client-ready materials. The analyst will also assist in delivering final presentations and managing client queries related to manager search and selection.
We will count on you for:
1. Data Gathering and Preparation:
Consolidate and organize manager responses to client open tenders.
Ensure all relevant data is collected accurately for analysis and review.
2. Analysis, Calculations, and Peer Review
For new managers, collaborate with the central manager search team to evaluate and rate the manager’s strategy.
Conduct comparative analysis of client strategy and manager performance to identify the best fit.
Perform peer reviews of analysis outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
3. Output Production and Presentation Support
Prepare client-ready materials including reports, summaries, and presentations related to manager search and selection.
Support the delivery of final analysis presentations and facilitate client review sessions.
Address client queries and participate in discussions to clarify findings and recommendations.
What you need to have:
Master’s degree in finance, or a related field. Cleared CFA L2 is preferred.
Minimum 4 years of work experience in Investments
Experience in investment manager research, selection, or related analytical roles.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint
Familiarity with manager search processes and investment strategy evaluation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and peer review capabilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Work closely with senior investment strategists, portfolio managers, and client service teams.
Participate in regular team meetings and strategy review sessions.
Provide timely updates and feedback on model assumptions and outputs.
