We are the makers of possible

BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.

We believe that the human element, across our global teams, is what allows us to continually evolve. Join us and discover an environment in which you’ll be supported to learn, grow and become your best self. Become a maker of possible with us.

This supply chain role will lead Inventory, Analytics, and Distribution execution across the BD Advanced Access Devices (AAD) platform. You will be required to think strategically, leverage data for problem solving, and collaborate and influence teams across multiple geographies to deliver results. Specific focus of this role includes inventory planning, enabling technology, driving standardization, and optimizing cash within the global supply chain network.

o    Align with the regions on mode of transportation changes to reduce backorder risk and meet month and quarter end revenue targets.
o    Increase accountability surrounding demand-related backorder, challenging the regions on backorder driven by demand materializing above forecast.
o    Work with Global Distribution facilities and our internal global supply planners to prioritize critical products and loads through our sterilization facility.
o    Track hot shipments from departing our Global Distribution centers to destination location, ensuring shipments and receipts are on time and in full.
o    Create weekly back order projections, pulling in data and aligning with regions on a rolling 12-month view.

  • Highlight hot product groups and week-over-week changes to Associate Director prior to weekly leadership presentation.

  • Segment backorder into three categories: Demand, Supply (RM / WIP constraints, or PPA / PvA), and QA related issues.

o    Manage shelf life at both the Global Distribution centers and product coming out of our internal plants. Ensure all produced lots and quantities have enough shelf life to meet Hub Distribution center requirements.

2. Global Inventory Planning, Management, & Standardization – 40%

  • Facilitate an inventory project funnel to generate ideas, refine recommendations and drive projects within the regions and plants

  • Establish & drive monthly E&O governance model with finance and cross functional partners to mitigate scrap expense and provide inventory disposition

  • Drive adoption of supply chain logic cross-functionally with our Field Inventory / Consignment counterparts, ensuring proper item / quantify mix at each consignment account
