What is the Opportunity?

The Manager, Innovation Solutions Delivery works in RBC’s enterprise Innovation team’s delivery function within Technology & Operations.  This team is responsible for taking emerging technologies from discovery to scaled, secure, production-grade capabilities.  This role works closely with all Innovation team roles, spanning delivery, engineering, and strategy functions.  The delivery manager drives the product roadmap, and partners with engineering on smooth execution of day-to-day tasks by identifying impediments and working to resolve them.  The manager also drives the Innovation teams ability to experiment with emerging technology by owning the vendor management and onboarding process.

What will you do?

  • Manage vendor onboarding and supplier risk management processes
  • Plan project roadmap and coordination
  • Develop and maintain in partnership with operations, comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Assist in managing executive reporting requirements, providing accurate and timely reports on Innovation program and project statuses.
  • Champion strong program governance and execution assurance processes, integrating project plans at a program level
  • Remove impediments to deliver outcomes and results through initiative-taking management of external dependencies, critical thinking/problem solving, and development of new solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges.

What do you need to succeed
Must haves

  • Undergraduate degree coupled with 2-5 years of relevant experience in project delivery management, strategic planning, business analysis, and project management experience in large, complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience working with AI tools, and SharePoint, JIRA/Confluence.
  • Proven ability to manage high visible projects with third party vendors and significant technology components.

Nice-to-have

  • Prior scrum master experience as asset
  • Experience as a BA/BSA
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and challenging situations, in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Familiarity with computer science, engineering, or architecture disciplines
  • Knowledge of current emerging technology trends in finance, quantum computing, DLT, Agentic AI, open-banking
