The Job

1. Investment Governance & Best Practice 

  • Policy Stewardship: Work with relevant stakeholders in the creation, maintenance and updating of guidelines, policies and documentations with external counterparties, including, among others, Investment Management Agreement 

  • (IMA), investment policy, market risk guidelines, etc. 

  • Reporting: Lead preparation and tracking of all internal and external reporting requirements, ensuring timely submission and response to queries from stakeholders 

  • Compliance Monitoring: Work with investment team colleagues in tracking, monitoring and documenting investment and execution activities in ensuring all activities align with internal risk appetites and external regulatory requirements 

  • Best Practice Frameworks: Conduct periodic reviews of the investment process to identify gaps in "best-in-class" standards. 

2. Transaction Execution & Legal Support 

  • Deal Coordination: Act as the one of the operational leads for the execution of new investments (Direct, Fund-of-Funds, or Co-investments) 

  • Legal Liaison: Partner with internal and external legal counsel to review transaction documentation such as Subscription Documents, Side Letters, and NDAs. 

  • Closing Management: Work with relevant investment team colleagues in the end-to- end "closing" process, including KYC/AML requirements, tax residency forms, and capital call coordination 

3. Internal & External Reporting 

  • Stakeholder Reporting: Assist in the preparation of various committee reporting and board packs, translating complex data into strategic insights 

  • Regulatory Filings: Participate in the preparation and record filing of investment- related data for regulatory submissions, including investment position reports and queries 

4. Transformation & Project Management 

  • Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate manual data collection and reporting workflows 

  • System Implementation: Coordinate and support where necessary the rollout of new systems and reporting modules for operational efficiencies 

  • Change Management: Act as a bridge between the Investment team and IT/Data teams to ensure technical solutions meet front-office needs 

The Person

  • 5 years of investment and management experience with university graduate in relevant discipline 

  • CFA and/or MBA preferred 

  • In depth understanding of the investment management industry 

  • Team player with high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure as well as with individuals from a variety of disciplines and levels 

  • Self-motivated and able to multitask, prioritize, cope with competing demands, and think outside the box 

  • Strong project management and communication skills 

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Accounting and/or risk management knowledge is a plus
