About the Role

As a Manager Global Supply Framework within the Supply Chain management organization, you will play a key role in defining, maintaining, developing the global standard of working with supplier in the Supply Chain Management processes. Your primary responsibility will be to define and develop the optimal standards for SCN supplier management in collaboration of SCM and Procurement roles, which secures the highest SCM performance for customers with the lowest possible cost. In addition, you will continuously control and evaluate Supplier and Intercompany SCM processes for their compliance to standards.
Your Team

The role will report to the Global Supply Planning and Framework Senior Director The role is expected to lead a team of 3-5 members potentially with a mix of managers and individual contributors in the future based on business needs.

What You Will Do

  • Define Supplier Development Framework and Tools for SCM Supplier performance which will include definition, continuous development and maintenance of Supplier SCM Manual as standard and base document for Supplier SCM management.
  • Set-up and execute MMOG/LE (Materials Management Operations Guideline Logistic Evaluation) system for Harman Supplier Base. Plan and execute with supply base Yearly Self-Evaluation schedules and Yearly confirmation audit programs according to the latest MMOG/LE standard
  • Develop and maintain Supplier Performance Evaluation System for SCM performance. Initiate and drive targeted supplier development programs with Cross-functional teams including Plant SCM and Procurement.
  • Define, develop and support implementation of supply concepts for supply base including: Supplier Consignment, Vendor Managed Inventory, Ship to Line, KANBAN, MOQ, Delivery Incoterms and shipping Standards, etc.
  • Develop training programs internally as well as for suppliers about supply concepts and Harman Supplier Standards
  • Participate in sourcing and procurement processes and decisions by evaluating Supplier SCM competences and their alignment to Harman Supplier standards.
  • Set-up and govern GSCC Global Supply Chain Council.
  • Intercompany (ICO) global delivery process governance and continuous improvement including definition, development and control of ICO delivery process standards.
  • Define and continuously improve SCM PTN/PCN processes and tools for efficient supply chain management. Control the execution of product and process termination and change processes to optimize cost, inventory and delivery service to customers.
  • Act as Supply Chain due diligence to
    • Conduct Risk assessment of supply base
    • Implement preventive measures and risk mitigation measures
    • Establish Governance Mechanisms for supply risks management
  • Regularly evaluate the team and individual performance and competencies, continuously improve the competence of supply framework team as well as other SCM organizations. Create competency and knowledge catalog and develop and execute training and competency development plans for the team members.

What You Need to be Successful

  • Applicant Shall have 5+ years of experience in the field of Supply chain & Suppliers management.

Bachelor/Master’s in supply chain related fields and Certifications from accredited bodies.

Expert knowledge of automotive industry including supply chain dynamics with at least 5+ years automotive experience

  • Extensive experience in supplier management and SCM governance of supplier performance in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in practice advanced supply chain management technology and supply strategies, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and advanced data analytics tools. With In-depth knowledge of S&OP principles, and inventory management practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams effectively.
  • 3+ years with a focus on Global Process
  • Process improvement/transformation experience or skills (e.g. Six Sigma, Agile)
  • Strong project management/coaching skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities to manage complex supply chain challenges and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including consultants/suppliers where applicable.
  • Demonstrated ability for Strategic thinking and ability to adapt to changing business requirements and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Experience in MMOG/LE supplier audits and performance management system.
  • Specific Automotive experience handling large suppliers having been responsible for negotiations etc. at the time of crisis.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 15-20 %, domestic and/or international travel.
  • Be willing to work in an office (hybrid) with close collaboration with manufacturing sites across Harman.
