The 65 Martin Place (65MP) project will transform our iconic headquarters into a modern, resilient, and sustainable workplace for decades to come. About the Role

Provide independent Line 2 oversight of project and program risk for a complex capital works program—challenging Line 1 where needed and ensuring alignment to enterprise frameworks and risk appetite.
Lead and contribute to thematic reviews, deep dives and assurance activities focused on delivery and delivered risks, governance effectiveness, and control design/operating effectiveness across all phases (demolition, design, construction, commissioning).
Partner with Line 1 and delivery partners to uplift risk capability, embed best‑practice risk management in construction and change delivery, and ensure clear accountability for treatments.
Monitor emerging risks (e.g., WHS, cost/schedule/quality, contractor & supply chain, design/integration, regulatory/compliance, environment/community, site/heritage) and escalate through appropriate governance forums.
Prepare high‑quality insights and reporting for senior governance forums (ExCo, Audit Committee, Steering Committee), translating complex project risk data into clear enterprise‑level narratives.
Assure the transition of delivered/retained risks at practical completion into BAU operational risk oversight.
About You
7+ years’ experience in risk management, internal audit, project assurance or a related field, preferably within banking, financial services, or large-scale property development projects.
Strong understanding of project/program delivery frameworks and capital works governance, with the ability to identify, assess and challenge both delivery and delivered risks.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders while maintaining independence.
A collaborative mindset and a passion for uplifting risk maturity in complex, multi‑party environments.
Familiarity with major works contracting, contractor/supplier risk, WHS considerations and design assurance; bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field highly desirable
Professional certifications in risk management (e.g., ISO 31000, PMI-RMP) desirable
