The Finance Manager is responsible for owning the day-to-day aspects of financial analysis, forecasting, management reporting, and budgeting for dedicated areas of responsibility. This position has high visibility & growth opportunity, supporting Peripheral Vascular’s global R&D functions (including R&D Engineering, PMO, Clinical, Quality, & Regulatory). This role will also serve as a strategic partner and modelling lead to support PMO in establishing/refining the process for project assessment, approval, and tracking. The Finance Manager will be responsible for building cross-functional relationships and serving as the primary business partner for executive leadership. They will also lead and mentor direct report, fostering a collaborative, positive, and high-performance culture.
What You Will Do
Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes for global research and development functions, meeting division financial targets and timelines.
Manage operating expenses and headcount planning to ensure investments are prioritized against strategic initiatives and approved project plans.
Partner with project and portfolio leaders to establish and improve financial evaluation processes, including business cases, project approvals, and performance tracking.
Develop and maintain complex financial models that evaluate scenarios, investments, and strategic tradeoffs, using outputs to guide decision-making at the leadership level.
Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances to deliver actionable insights that support growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Produce accurate and timely management reporting, including standard metrics, variance explanations, forward-looking insights, and value-based financial indicators.
Present financial results and recommendations to leaders, adjusting content and format to support informed strategic discussions.
Coach and develop a direct report by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Develop trusted relationships with functional and cross-functional leaders across the company to achieve financial and functional goals, align strategic priorities, and drive business outcomes.
Demonstrate strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and deep subject matter expertise – independently function as trusted and valued business partner beyond the financials.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 8 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related business functions
Experience in financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and business partnering.
Work arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Irvine, CA
US15: $118,000 - $196,600 USD Annual
