Supports Sutter Health's surgery centers (wholly owned and joint ventures) financial operational performance. Manages specific assigned responsibilities as they relate to developing and maintaining the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including but not limited to budgeting, volume/revenue analysis, and cost accounting. Develops, prepares, analyzes, and presents financial reports based upon operational performance. Oversees joint venture partner distributions and unit transfers and ledgers as well as oversees the financial/reporting analysis staff (5-8 team members) ensuring the delivery and provision of accurate, timely financial information, which conforms to generally accepted accounting principles, policies and regulatory policies.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Finance or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years recent relevant experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience leading financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for complex joint ventures, surgery centers, or multi-entity structures.
Knowledge of consolidation principles, intercompany transactions, and equity method accounting for joint ventures.
Strong Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of surgery Center operations and reporting.
Knowledge of patient care financial reporting.
Knowledge of government reimbursement, managed care regulations, and data processing information
Demonstrated knowledge of online cost accounting system, micro-computers, and Excel/Access or similar spreadsheet/database software
Customer service, communication and organization skills
Written/verbal interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills to provide support to various customers
Ability to handle multiple priorities and have the ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet established deadlines
Ability to work with all levels of management and explain complex finance or cost accounting issues to non-financial managers

Pay Range is $60.70 to $91.05 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
