As Manager, Field Technical Service Engineering - Nordics, you will be leading the team to ensure Alcon equipment functions effectively. You will find and fix issues, recommend new products, and build customer relationships.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Leadership of the Nordics Technical Service team and Development Supervise, train, and develop Field Service associates to achieve departmental goals and ensure high team performance.
Service Operations Management Plan and oversee service activities to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective execution, including resource optimization aligned with strategic growth.
Training and Knowledge Sharing Deliver comprehensive training on product usage, troubleshooting, and maintenance for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Customer Relationship Management Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction through effective service interactions and by building strong cross-functional relationships.
Sales Support and Collaboration Manage service agreement sales targets, support the team in achieving them, and collaborate with Sales and Marketing to align on priorities.
Technical Expertise and Project Oversight Perform complex technical tasks including troubleshooting, diagnose & repair, installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance of Alcon surgical equipment within an assigned service territory; manage multiple technical projects and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor’s degree (e.g. in electrical, electronic, biomedical, mechanical, or optical engineering), Professional certificate or equivalent Professional experience
Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one Nordic language (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, or Finnish) is required
Medical device experience in an engineering role within a theatre environment, working with advanced medical devices and medical lasers
Familiarity with GMP/QMS and local regulations
Strong leadership and management skills, fostering team effectiveness and motivation
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for seamless collaboration
Proven financial acumen, adeptly managing budgets and achieving targets
