Manager, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Operations – AMP (Art & Metadata) 

The Manager, DTC Operations, AMP, is responsible for the end-to-end management of Artwork and metadata for DTC titles to Disney+ in EMEA. This role oversees the creation, coordination, and delivery of all required assets within the Art & Metadata pipeline, across the different workstreams, including EMEA local Originals, Acquisition content, National Geographic and Sports. Key responsibilities include managing project timelines, resource planning, cross-team collaboration and ensuring timely, cost-effective production of digital assets to support the company’s Direct-to-Consumer services. 

They will interact with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to global AMP teams, EMEA Creative Operations, territory Marketing teams, regional programming, and other members of the Distribution Ops team and will play a key role in managing internal and external vendors. The manager will be required to manage other team members and demonstrate an understanding of all workflows and requirement as part of DTC. 

 

This person and their team operate in a highly complex, often high-pressured environment. The proven ability to operate effectively under pressure is paramount. 

Areas of Accountability:

Art & Metadata Project Management 

  • Manages / Oversees a team to ensure completion of Art & Metadata assets in line with globally agreed deadlines and specifications (SLAs) and budget while ensuring creative consistency. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Creative Ops, local marketing teams, Production management, London Hub and Merchandising) to ensure all art and design meet project requirements and align with brand guidelines. 

  • Provides feedback and collaboration with regional AMP teams to improve workflows and ensure that business objectives are met and new technical opportunities are adopted. 

  • Assumes responsibility for hitting vendor-managed targets in alignment with Disney’s Quality Management System (QMS) process of on time and right first-time delivery. 

  • Builds close and effective working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure that content is delivered to the highest quality in the appropriate timeline, serving as an initial escalation point for issue resolution. 

  • Contributes to planning for specific projects providing Art & Metadata expertise, cost information, and project timelines. 

  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure AMP systems are efficient, scalable, and support enhanced user experience  

  • Create, process, and maintain original descriptive metadata to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards 

 

Vendor management:  

  • The Manager will be expected to build relationships with account managers of vendor partners to ensure best practice and high-quality delivery requirements of assets.   

  • The Manager will work with the Senior Manager to decide on the most appropriate vendor strategy based on performance, cost, capacity, people and expertise.  

 

Manager General: 

  • Management of one or more team members required 

  • Identify and assign projects across the team. 

  • Coaches and develops other team members to build a high performing team. 

  • Is responsible for the timely completion of appraisals and collaboration with other team leaders to ensure consistent benchmarking is used across the Department.  

  • Participates in the creation of the annual Department Business Plan.  

 

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required:

  • 4+ years’ experience in operations 

  • 4+ years’ experience in high volume distribution transactions in complex business environments, across multiple markets.           

  • Experience managing a team is beneficial but not mandatory 

  • Vendor management  

  • Experience at dealing with and managing multiple internal and external stakeholders across a global remit at a senior level.
