We’re looking for a Manager, Distribution Compliance to join our ICS team at MBPS. In this role, you will help implement distribution and product compliance programs, advise on business initiatives and sales practices, conduct reviews on market conduct and distributor oversight, partner on control testing, and drive automation and analytics to detect misconduct. You will also strengthen compliance frameworks through documentation, reporting, and collaboration with global teams while leading special projects and supporting capability development across markets.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support Asia Segment Compliance in implementing Distribution and Product Compliance programs and fostering a positive conduct culture across markets.
- Collaborate with market leaders and compliance teams to establish processes for managing known, new, and emerging distribution and product compliance risks.
- Provide compliance advisory and challenge for Business Units, including market initiatives, sales incentives, campaigns, and product proposals.
- Conduct compliance reviews and deep dives on topics like distributor oversight, insurance distribution, market conduct, post-sales controls, and complaints management.
- Partner with Sales Controls Testing teams to ensure quality assurance in control design and implementation.
- Enhance market compliance capabilities through learning, development, and cross-training, while supporting automation and advanced analytics to detect misconduct and fraud.
- Strengthen compliance frameworks via documentation in Archer, timely reporting, collaboration with Global Compliance, and leading special projects.
Required Qualifications:
- College/University Degree and/or equivalent experience
- Professional qualification and designation in control and oversight including compliance, risk management, and audit are preferred.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in financial services compliance, risk, audit, and other control roles.
- Experience in overseeing market compliance program and teams would be a definitive advantage.
- A deep understanding of insurance distribution, products, and risk and controls in Asian markets, ideally with a focus on tied agency and/or bancassurance.
- Advanced understanding of the regulatory environment in which the Company operates and a s strong understanding of key compliance requirements applicable to the business.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports and effectively convey strategies.
- Outstanding functional leadership and people management abilities to positively influence senior leaders and colleagues.
- Good judgment by balancing pragmatism with high standards for compliance and ethical conduct, and effectively communicate concerns, escalate issues, and manage challenging conversations.
