Job Summary: You will serve as a Branch Manager in the ADVANCED CONCEPTS GROUP (MXNL), ADVANCED ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM OPERATIONS (EMSO) APPLIED RESEARCH AND RAPID CAPABILITIES DIVISION, RAPID MISSION INTEGRATION AND INTEROPERABILITY DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $163,514).

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a Branch Manager and ensure close communication and collaboration with the Advanced Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) Applied Research and Rapid Capabilities Division Manager and Deputy Division Manager.
  • You will be responsible for the development of people, execution of workload, organizational initiatives, and customer care.
  • You will coordinate and integrate the work of peer and lower organizational units, each involving distinct areas of responsibility and requiring different skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform the work.
  • You will develop plans effecting the organization's long-range strategies, goals, and objectives, requiring an analytical approach in order to forecast future trends and outcomes.
  • You will serve as a primary contact with major program sponsors.

Qualifications: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist providing administrative/technical oversight on the development, testing, and evaluation of electronic warfare systems for sustainment and readiness of warfare programs for an organization.
