Role and Responsibilities

  • Demand & Sell-out Forecasting & Analytics: Develop data-driven demand and sell-out forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and promotional impact analyses.
  • Promotion Plan Integration: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to incorporate upcoming promotional campaigns into demand planning models.
  • Sales Target Optimization: Ensure forecasts support strategic sales targets by identifying potential demand fluctuations and adjusting supply plans accordingly.
  • Market Share Analysis: Monitor and evaluate competitive trends to adjust forecasting models, ensuring the company maintains and grows its market position.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, marketing, finance, and sales teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking: Generate reports detailing forecast accuracy, sales performance comparing target, and promotional impact; continuously refine forecasting methods.
  • Technology & Automation: Utilize forecasting software and AI-driven tools to improve prediction accuracy and efficiency.
  • Advanced Analytical Techniques: Apply statistical models and algorithms to identify patterns and correlations within the sales data. This involves predictive analytics to anticipate future trends and prescriptive analytics to recommend optimal strategies for improving forecast accuracy. Excel can be used for quick data analysis, pivot tables, and scenario modeling.
  • Data Integration and Analysis: Leverage diverse datasets including sales trends, Total Addressable Market (TAM), Market Share (MS), and promotion plans to create a comprehensive view of market dynamics. Utilize tools like Alteryx for data preparation, Tableau for visualization, Power BI for interactive dashboards, and Excel for data manipulation and analysis to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Automated Reporting and Feedback Loops: Develop automated reporting pipelines using Power BI and Excel to provide daily/weekly updates on forecast performance. Implement feedback loops to capture insights from each functional team, ensuring continuous refinement of models and methodologies. This structured approach enhances cross-functional alignment and drives data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting and analytics in the mobile or technology industry
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in forecasting tools, Excel, and data visualization platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage cross-functional teams
  • Ability to adapt to fast-changing market conditions and business needs
  • Experience working with large datasets, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics

Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
