[What the role is]

The Manager, Data Governance helps to drive the organisation’s data governance strategy, ensuring data is used responsibly and securely. The role supports the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and the Data Governance team in promoting strong data governance practices and ensuring compliance with data governance policies.

[What you will be working on]

  • Develop, update and implement data governance policies across the data lifecycle
  • Assist in data governance initiatives such as data inventories, data security risk assessments, automation of data governance workflows and monitoring AI chatbot
  • Manage queries on data governance requirements and provide guidance to stakeholders to ensure compliance, such as handling of sensitive data or personal data
  • Support the review of data requests and ensure measures are implemented to mitigate risks related to data security
  • Assist in data governance awareness efforts such as conducting training on data governance practices and communicating data governance policies to different stakeholders
  • Support in data incident reporting and management

[What we are looking for]

  • Familiar with data protection or governance principles, preferably with 1-2 years of work experience in these areas
  • Strong background, knowledge and experience in data / information management and/or information systems concepts and practices, with demonstrated expertise in these or related fields would be an advantage
  • Professional certifications in data governance and any previous work experiences in a health care setting would be an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with different internal and external stakeholders

The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
