The Impact: As a Manager of Data Engineering, you will directly influence our commercial strategy by building the data foundations for advanced analytics. Your work will empower business leaders with critical insights, enhancing customer experience and driving revenue growth. You will be instrumental in shaping how we leverage data to maintain our competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the modernization of data infrastructure and architecture to enable advanced analytics capabilities for commercial insights and customer analytics initiatives.
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support real-time and batch analytics across multiple data sources and business units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical data solutions.
  • Establish data governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across commercial analytics platforms.
  • Evaluate and implement modern data technologies and cloud-based solutions to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline data processing workflows and reduce manual intervention in data operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7+ years of progressive data engineering experience, including a proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex data projects.
  • Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using technologies such as Python, Scala, SQL, and Apache Spark.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated data services.
  • Experience with modern data practices including infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI), and data governance.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with a passion for building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of partnering effectively with both technical and non-technical leaders.
