Job Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
CUSTOMER
- Manage the team in the development and/or delivery of creative services and solutions to address enterprise/business needs/plans, ensuring alignment with internal marketing standards and/or goals
- Manage the team’s creation and/or production/fulfilment of marketing materials/visuals (print/digital) for internal clients that meet business objectives on project briefs within established timelines, ensuring they work with established templates as required
- Ensure effective delivery and management of programs/project plans by assigning and tracking workgroup projects, ensuring established processes are followed, and delivering all projects on strategy, on time, on budget and error free
- Exercise understanding of TD business objectives and responsible for delivery of consistent, high quality branded offline and online materials/editorial in print/digital formats that align to Brand and business objectives
- Evaluate creative brief for strategic content requirements, develop strategic, customer-facing marketing content; present creative effectively and provide direction based on feedback
- Provide direction and exhibit strong creative judgment/technical guidance ensuring the team achieves the highest possible creative/production standards for all materials regardless of medium
- Ensure team produces creative work within brand standards, and where applicable also encourage development of new interpretations of the brand standards and out-of-the-box approaches to grow the verbal and visual identity of the brand; leverage brand expertise to provide direction on the development of innovative creative solutions
- May manage the development of new creative concepts and adapt existing creative from briefs
- May oversee editorial services, manage the development of copy as required, and provide insight for content development and messaging across channels; ensure all content is on strategy and meets project objectives
- Work closely with Creative Director and other creative domain leads/teams to ensure a cohesive relationship between copy, design, production, print, fulfilment etc.
- Work with Creative Director to drive innovative concept development; present to Marketing partners and influencing key stakeholders
- Provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables and ensure creative is developed in alignment with brand guidelines
- May negotiate with vendors and other external partners for printing, digital, photography etc. ensuring the use of strategically-sourced vendors when possible
- Responsible to ensure creative assets are managed and archived per the defined process
- Oversee the team in the creation of templates and guidelines for TD corporate, marketing and other business units
- May manage proofreading and quality control resources to ensure high quality deliverables are provided to production vendors
- Work with vendors as appropriate to problem solve production issues
- Develop an understanding of TD businesses and products and remain current with key business initiatives to deliver effective marketing solutions for respective projects
- Confidently and diplomatically steward new ideas through the organization on behalf of the team and profile win/share learnings
- Incorporate lessons learned into current and future projects
- Continuously enhance knowledge and keep abreast of leading-edge capabilities and trends in own field of expertise
- Cultivate a culture of professionalism and collaboration, build strong relationships with partners, be seen as a trusted advisor
- Interpret metrics for use in continuous improvement
- Facilitate ideation and brainstorming
- Responsible to meet or exceed service level agreements and project deliverables, and deliver on-budget
SHAREHOLDER
- Contribute to the development of the business plan, operationalize the plan and deliver on assigned service/functionality
- Work with key business leaders to develop business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD’s operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scale
- Monitor and communicate effectiveness of strategies, programs, and practices related to own area of accountability
- Ensure programs, policies and practices continue to meet business needs, comply with internal and external requirements, and align with business priorities
- Set the standards for operations and manageability across the business/function
- Proactively identify key business opportunities, research and recommend enhancements/ modifications, develop strategies to achieve recommendations
- Meet standards for productivity and efficiency, implement process improvements, execute on change, supporting adherence, tracking and realizing benefits
- Coordinate activities with partners across the organization, may include HR, Technology, Finance, Risk Mgmt etc.
- Ensure team operates in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements, and employees comply with Bank and industry codes of conduct
- Ensure appropriate reporting and escalation of issues based on risk profile
- Coach employees to deliver on the business service and operating model
- Lead relationships with business lines / corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as an organizational/subject matter expert helping to identify risk/provide guidance for complex situations
- Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, escalate non-standard, high risk transactions/activities as necessary
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

- Leads and manages a diverse team of creative professionals and overall operation of a multiple creative disciplines, for a range of projects from low to high complexity
- Grows talent, develops skills and capabilities of team to achieve career goals, support project / initiative success and achieve business results
- Ability to present and make recommendations to senior management and executives
- Ensures an integrated approach with other business areas, broader organization, and enterprise as appropriate
- Coordinates and prioritizes multiple initiatives and manages resource allocation
- Establishes effective relationships with different Stakeholders, Business Sponsors, Executives and LOB
- Provides support and contributes to the overall discipline and strategy for respective areas
- Provides coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business, executives within area of expertise
- Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses / technology, and organizational practices/ disciplines
- Sound to advanced knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own function / business
- Focus on short to medium-term issues (e.g. 6-12 months)
- Generally reports to a Creative Director or executive with broader mandate
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required
- 7+ years relevant experience
