TC Energy’s Construction Services (CSUS) organization plays a critical role in delivering safe, reliable, and high‑quality work across the TC Energy’s U.S. natural gas pipeline system. As an internal contractor to TC Energy, CSUS executes a diverse portfolio of work—from operations maintenance, integrity digs, class changes, various capital project support, and various other scopes of work.
We are seeking a Manager of Construction Services to lead our West and Central teams. This leader will champion safety, drive schedule, cost performance, elevate quality, develop people, and strengthen our culture. This role is essential to our ability to deliver exceptional results and maintain trusted relationships with our customers across the enterprise.
Lead a Safety‑First Culture
Safety is the foundation of all CSUS work and a core expectation of this leadership role. You will:
Ensure crews consistently pass safety audits and uphold CSUS expectations.
Promote and reward safe work practices through the Spotlight Program and recognition activities.
Engage with crews during field visits to reinforce hazard identification, last minute task assessments, and quality safety JSAs.
Achieve and sustain a high safety culture.
Deliver Projects on Time, On Budget, and With High Quality
Cost & Schedule Performance
Ensure all assigned projects are completed within approved budget.
Deliver awarded projects on schedule, meeting CSUS schedule adherence expectations.
Responsible for team’s meeting utilization and availability targets for crews.
Quality Excellence
Partner with Quality teams to complete required project and quality audits.
Drive submission of high‑value quality shares that improve work processes and elevate organizational learning.
Ensure project documentation and close‑out packages meet TC Energy standards.
Strengthen Customer and Stakeholder Relationships
Build trusted relationships with operations, project Management, engineering, and other stakeholders.
Conduct routine face‑to‑face meetings with customers both in the office and field to ensure alignment and service quality.
Support cross‑team collaboration and assist other CSUS teams when workload or customer needs arise.
Develop, Empower, and Support Your Team
Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with all direct reports and support team development and succession planning.
Ensure zero overdue LMS and OQ requirements for yourself and your team.
Promote visibility into project schedules, work forecasts, and expectations.
Build a strong team culture grounded in communication, accountability, and empowerment.
Support Continuous Improvement and Innovation
Identify and propose ideas or tools that improve CSUS operations or broader TC Energy workflows.
Encourage team participation in improvement, quality, and safety initiatives.
Utilize KPIs and customer survey feedback to drive improvement in execution, availability, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or industry certifications considered an asset.
8+ years of construction or field operations experience in pipeline, industrial, utility, or energy environments.
3+ years of leadership experience in construction, maintenance, integrity, or project execution.
Strong understanding of craft labor, heavy equipment operations, and pipeline construction methods.
Ability to lead teams safely and effectively across multiple simultaneous work fronts.
Demonstrated ability to manage cost, schedule, quality, and customer relationships.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently to field locations.
Experience with TC Energy or similar large‑scale pipeline operator.
Knowledge of OQ programs, LMS tracking, and pipeline regulatory requirements.
Experience participating in quality audits and/or safety audit programs.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes across teams.
This position may be based in Rayne, LA; LaGrange, IN; or Mansfield, OH, with regional travel to field sites, offices, and project locations (up to 50%).
