Your role

As the Manager Computer Systems at PU Giraffe xA, you will lead a team of around ten engineers specializing in data, electronics, and interface design.

Your team will be responsible for designing the computer-related and operator-facing hardware used in our Giraffe xA products.

Key responsibilities:

• Line management responsibility for the section including people leadership, competence development, resource planning, and work environment.
• Develop and deliver new functions and capabilities on time, at the right quality and cost.
• Oversee a wide range of hardware components, including computers, displays, network equipment, and various indicators.
• Manage procured components and the Contract for Development process, ensuring suppliers meet our technical and functional needs.
• Create an environment that enables your employees to succeed and thrive.
• Collaborate with the management team for Hardware Design Giraffe xA, System Engineering, Project Management and other Design Units.
• Lead and coach your team to achieve shared strategic goals and operational excellence.

Hardware Design is responsible for hardware design for our Giraffe xA radar systems and consists of five specialized groups that together form the core of our hardware development. Computer Systems is one of these groups and works specifically with the computer‑related hardware for Giraffe xA.

As part of the management team for Hardware Design Giraffe xA, you work closely with the other group managers. Together, you drive development forward, ensure a strong system‑level perspective and create a unified direction for the hardware in our products.

We expect that you have:

• Experience as a line manager, including people leadership and resource responsibility.
• Leadership experience from hardware‑ or electronic related development.
• Genuine interest in complex technical product development and cross‑site collaboration.
• Drive, collaboration skills and the ability to motivate your employees.
• A transparent, structured and results‑oriented way of working.
• A relevant academic degree in engineering or a related field.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
