Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a recognized expert consultant and project leader in state-of-the-art equipment /systems development, acquisition, and/or application of theories, principles, practical concepts, processes, and methods related to assigned areas.
  • You will exercise program and technical management over current programs involving systems development, production, test, evaluation, maintenance, and logistic contractual effort at contractors' sites.
  • You will evaluate the efforts of the contractor (using inputs/actions from DCMA and SPS personnel) in achieving contract and program milestones with respect to technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • You will direct the implementation of the entire body of technical directives relating to contractor and Navy organizations for which SSP and PMOSSP Shipboard Systems maintain control.
  • You will schedule, plan, coordinate and direct work performed by civilian technical managers and their direct reports (engineering, logisticians, and specialists) and military employees (if applicable) within the department.
  • You will establish goals and objectives consistent with those of PMOSSP Shipboard Systems and SSP Headquarters and assures the quality and efficiency of department efforts and contributions.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer, performing engineer program planning, requirements analysis, acquisition, integration, evaluation and testing of complex weapons, nuclear security, or mission-critical systems to support mission readiness and operational objectives.
