Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMUQ) is launching a new Business
Innovation Center that is funded by an external partner and is searching for a
high-energy, outward-facing Manager to help bring this vision to life. This is an
exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a creative, dynamic environment and enjoys building new initiatives from the ground up.
The Center will serve as a hub for experiential learning, student innovation,
faculty collaboration, and meaningful partnerships with high schools, industry and the broader community, making this role central to shaping how CMUQ engages with the business landscape. Reporting to the Center’s Directors, you will play a pivotal role in defining the Center’s identity, guiding its development, and driving its growth from launch onward.
This is a one-year renewable position, with continuation contingent upon
performance and institutional needs, and may occasionally require supporting
engagements held during the weekend.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop the Center’s strategy and annual plans in coordination with the
Directors.
● Map and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
● Plan and deliver engagements, workshops, events, and innovation activities.
● Manage the Center’s podcast operations and guest coordination.
● Manage the Center’s social media presence and communications.
● Collaborate with the Business Faculty on programs and initiatives.
● Oversee daily operations and serve as the primary point of contact.
● Supervise student assistants supporting the center functions.
Qualifications and skills
● Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; Master’s preferred.
● Experience in business operations, project management, stakeholder
engagement, and event planning.
● Strong communication skills and an outward-facing, proactive personality.
● Ability to manage multiple projects and build strong partnerships.
● Experience managing social media platforms.
