The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Manager, AI Enablement & Adoption

Reporting to the Director, Platform Development & Business Intelligence, this operational and strategic position will play an instrumental role in the implementation and organization-wide adoption of artificial intelligence technologies at LA28. As the Manager, AI Enablement & Adoption, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day management, training, and scaling of Google Gemini Enterprise, NotebookLM, and other AI technologies to enhance productivity across the organization. 

Beyond standard implementation, the role will serve as a bridge between technology and operations, identifying opportunities to integrate AI with existing data ecosystems. By leveraging Games-time and operational data, the role will lead the creation of custom AI agents designed to streamline complex workflows and provide real-time decision support for the 2028 Games. 

The candidate should exhibit strong technical and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple solutions at a rapid pace. The position will require cross functional collaboration and partnership to drive technical objectives.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a techno-functional project lead for the enterprise-wide rollout and administration of Google Gemini, NotebookLM, and other AI apps, ensuring secure and ethical deployment across all functional areas. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify data-rich environments (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Project Management tools) and develop integrated AI agents that surface insights and automate manual tasks. 
  • Design and deliver org-wide prompt engineering workshops and training sessions to ensure staff can effectively utilize AI tools in their daily responsibilities. 
  • Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to map operational workflows and inject AI capabilities where they can most effectively reduce "time-to-insight" for Games planning. 
  • Develop comprehensive user training and documentation; triage system-related requests and provide day-to-day support for Gemini and NotebookLM end-users. 
  • Monitor platform usage, manage license allocation, and stay abreast of new feature releases to ensure LA28 remains at the forefront of AI utility. 
  • Work closely with the Cybersecurity and Privacy teams to ensure all AI applications meet the rigorous data protection standards required for an Olympic and Paralympic Games. 

Background & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing enterprise SaaS solutions, with at least 2 years specifically focused on deploying Generative AI tools like Google Gemini, ChatGPT Enterprise, or Microsoft Copilot. 
  • Proven track record of designing high-quality prompt libraries and building "agents" or "assistants" that automate specific business workflows. 
  • Practical experience working with APIs and integration platforms to connect LLMs with external data sources (e.g., connecting Gemini to CRM or other databases for real-time data retrieval). 
  • Experience leading organization-wide "digital transformation" or technology adoption programs, including the creation of training curricula and internal "AI Literacy" initiatives.
  • A history of working cross-functionally with departments like Legal, Cybersecurity, and Privacy to establish responsible AI governance and data-handling policies.
  • Experience navigating enterprise data environments (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, or Tableau) to identify which datasets are "AI-ready" for decision-support tools. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-phase technical projects in fast-paced, high-pressure environments (ideally within sports, live events, or large-scale logistics).
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Skilled in user training, documentation, and driving adoption
  • Change‑management experience for new features and processes
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to work on-site in an open office environment based in Los Angeles, CA

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. 
  • Professional certifications in Cloud Architecture (Google Cloud Professional preferred)
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Specialized AI/ML credentials a plus 

Expectations:

  • Familiar with project management software tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Prior experience with a digital transformation project involving org-wide change management
  • Able to translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, providing project management and supporting technical abilities for various AI projects and initiatives  
  • Proven ability of building good interpersonal relationships with people across the organization, while balancing assertiveness and setting expectations with diplomacy   
  • A collaborative mindset: someone who prioritizes the team and fosters a culture of high performance without ego   
  • Ability to implement and manage change effectively   
  • An excitement for the committee's mission of building the best Olympic and Paralympic Games, while thinking differently all along the way

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000.00 - $115,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
