What You Will Do:
As an Energy Providers Management Consultant, you will work alongside experienced professionals delivering consulting projects, both at client sites and within Guidehouse offices to deliver important engagements that drive tangible outcomes for our clients. A key function of a Management Consultant is to create and present high-quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams. You will engage in research, analysis, documentation, and client-facing activities as part of a collaborative delivery team. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to drive impactful solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities may include:
Contributing to innovative problem-solving to drive outcomes for clients, leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and tools.
Conducting comprehensive research and analysis to support project recommendations and solutions, inform strategic decisions, and develop actionable insights. This may include data collection, market research and analysis, benchmarking, and economic modeling.
Applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions that align with client goals.
Preparing detailed, high-quality reports, presentations, and other documentation for client deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and senior team members.
Effectively and regularly engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate solutions, fostering strong relationships.
Working collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive team environment that encourages growth and innovation.
Pursuing ongoing professional development, including attending training sessions, obtaining relevant certifications, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Assisting in project management tasks, such as scheduling meetings, tracking project timelines, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time.

What You Will Need:
Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident, due to nature of client engagements
Consultant II - Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND One (1+) plus years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience; Or Master's degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND relevant energy/utilities internships or co-op experience
Senior Consultant - Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND Three (3+) plus years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience; Or Master's degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND Three (1+) plus years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience
Manager/Managing Consultant - Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND Five (5+) plus years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience; Or Master's degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND Three (3+) plus year relevant post-graduation utilities work experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Curiosity about the energy industry and a desire to make a tangible impact through consulting work
Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines
Ability to travel
Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
Currently reside in the contiguous United States
Staff level of hire will be determined through Guidehouse's interview process
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Preference will be given to candidates residing within 50 miles of a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:
Grid modernization and/or transformation
Electric/Power Utilities technology integration or adoption
AI/ML Technology Modernization solutions
Utilities-related projects supporting Transmission & Distribution (T&D) operations
Utilities infrastructure resilience
NERC CIP program support and/or management
Cybersecurity
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Ability to support business development by contributing to proposals, client pitches, and account growth strategies and developing client relationships.
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Excellent at visualizing data, synthesizing insights, and storytelling with data

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
