Job Summary: This announcement is open to current or former federal employees and specific hiring authorities. This position serves as a Management and Program Analyst (Audit), located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division (JMD), Deputy Assistant Attorney General - Policy (DAAG-Management and Compliance), Office of Compliance and Review (OCR), in Washington, DC.

Major Duties:

  • The duties and responsibilities for a GS-0343-13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Collects relevant information from many varied sources, some of which are difficult to access. Prepares special analyses of responses by the reviewed components to ascertain whether the recommendations have been properly addressed and a timetable for implementation of corrective action has been provided. Researches technical and legislative literature applicable of the subject matter of audit and inspection reports to ensure that findings and resolution actions are consistent with governing laws, regulations, and Administrative policy. Prepares reports and special projects for leadership and agency offices on program issues of broad impact, such as those on an agency or nation-wide level. Plans and prepares reports or other working documents related to complex program issues for agency programs.

Qualifications: To qualify for the position of Management and Program Analyst (Audit), at GS-0343-13, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Analyze, evaluate, and/or improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal administrative operations and/or program activities; and 2) Audit, program review and/or inspection activities of the Government Accountability Office, the Office of the Inspector General, and/or external Inspectors General. You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including time-in-grade, by 03/27/2026 of this announcement.
