Job Summary: This position is assigned to the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Logistics. Located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, HI. The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the performance of one or more trade practices associated with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, and other related trades. Must be a current employee with Commander, Navy Region Hawaii (CNRH), Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) department Logistics/Warehouse division.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. Two years of experience in at least two of the following trades, plumbing, air conditioning, and/or electrical, that demonstrate knowledge in the applicable combination of trades work sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Responsibility: Works under general supervision. Majority of the work is performed independently where the incumbent, makes decisions based on personal knowledge. Physical Effort: Positions requires prolonged standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfrotable positions. Lifts, carries, and sets up materials and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Occasionally may handle materials and equipment weighing 50 lbs. and over. Working Conditions: Work is performed both inside and outside. Incumbent is exposed to dirt, paint vapors and fumes. Must wear issues protective gear.
