About The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (Level II or Level III) to support our Richmond facilities by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and building systems. The selected candidate will be leveled (II or III) based on experience, demonstrated skills, and qualifications.
This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting a safe, efficient production environment.
The maintenance personnel are responsible for maintaining and repairing all machinery and equipment within the facility to keep it in proper working order, as well as maintaining building equipment and facilities.

Hours: This position will work a 2-2-3-nights schedule from 7pm-7am; some overtime may be required to meet business needs

Pay: $33.50 - 36.50, based on experience

Essential Functions

  • Perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and steam generators; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Work with or without production personnel to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Work in conjunction with outside contractors and/or vendors as well as OEMs to troubleshoot and make repairs to plant equipment.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems; and use precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose problems.
  • Control downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Use computer system to document work and account for parts.
  • Communicate with the team using verbal, written or electronic communication including phone, email, radio, or other modes.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Required to participate on the Emergency Response Team

Qualifications

Required (Either Level II or III)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain mobile equipment licenses within 30 days
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate basic hand and power tools

Experience Requirements

  • Level II: 2+ years industrial maintenance experience
  • Level III: 5+ years industrial maintenance experience, including electrical troubleshooting

Preferred

  • Corrugated manufacturing or converting experience

  • Certifications such as OSHA 30‑Hour, HVAC, Welding (Level II)
  • Journeyman Millwright Mechanic Card (Level III)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment 

  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with some time spent in an office setting
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent walking and standing required
  • Frequent kneeling, crouching and bending required
