Pay Range: $26.00-$32.00 Depending on experience
Shift & Working Hours: 2nd Shift; 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM; Weekend and overtime work may be required. The maintenance technician should be flexible and able to cover alternative shifts, including second and third shifts, as needed.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair in support of the facility and production equipment. In this role, the technician will work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Superior logical-thinking and troubleshooting skills are critical. This position is critical to the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
This role is part of our Nutra Blend business who is an industry leader in manufacturing and distributing quality vitamin, trace mineral, micro-ingredients, and antibiotic premixes for the feed industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others
Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly
Monitors performance of plant machinery and equipment for proper operating performance; performs regular and preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots, and inspections on all machinery and equipment; documents work accordingly
Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed
Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment
Required Experience and Skills:
Must be 18 years or older
6+ months of industrial or building facility maintenance experience
Current valid driver’s license
Basic computer and math skills
Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals
Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
Required to work scheduled shift which may include weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime
