Maintenance Technician – JLL
What this job involves:
As a Maintenance Technician at JLL, you'll play a vital role in keeping our client facilities running smoothly and efficiently. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and supervisors, you'll perform essential maintenance tasks that ensure building systems operate reliably and occupants enjoy a safe, comfortable environment. This hands-on position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills across multiple building disciplines while contributing directly to JLL's commitment to operational excellence and outstanding client service. What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems according to established schedules
Respond to and complete work orders for minor repairs, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting of building equipment
Conduct regular inspections of facility systems and equipment, recording readings and reporting any abnormalities to supervisors
Replace consumable items such as filters, belts, bulbs, and other parts to maintain optimal system performance
Assist senior technicians and operating engineers with larger repair projects, equipment installations, and system upgrades
Maintain accurate documentation of completed maintenance activities, equipment readings, and inventory usage
Support a safe work environment by following all safety protocols, properly storing materials, and keeping work areas clean and organized
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
1-2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or related field
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret basic equipment manuals, work orders, and safety procedures
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to respond to emergency situations and work flexible hours when needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Trade school training or coursework in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related discipline
EPA Universal certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Basic computer skills including email and data entry
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Experience working in commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, or institutional environments
Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills
Location: Onsite - St. Louis, MO
