Are you passionate about precision, safety, and keeping critical energy systems running at peak performance? As a Measurement Technician II, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of gas measurement and regulation systems. This is a hands-on technical role where your expertise directly supports safe gas delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across our measurement infrastructure.

What you will do:

  • Test, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot gas meters, pressure regulators, control valves, relief valves, pneumatic control devices, RTUs, EGM systems, and gas quality analyzers to ensure accurate and reliable operation.

  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate instrumentation and support equipment, including in-line heaters, power supply systems, and over-pressure control equipment.

  • Perform routine maintenance on odorizers, set injection rates, and accurately report odorant usage and concentration.

  • Install and maintain small-diameter instrument piping and tubing, and identify pipe, valve, and fitting configurations using appropriate measurement devices.

  • Use test and inspection equipment to verify performance, conduct basic tests, and ensure electrical installations meet applicable codes and standards.

  • Complete detailed reports, write gas handling procedures, and on occasion provide direction to other employees while assisting with work planning and budget-related input.

What you have:

  • Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License.

Preferred
• Possesses the desire to learn and advance, as a Measurement Technician.
• Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily field-oriented (outdoor) with specific office (indoor) functions for training, meetings, and documentation of required tasks dictated by the Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies for which Enbridge must comply.

  • Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, on call & standby, and travel overnight as required.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to Grasping, kneeling, light-moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read the fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility can ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet, legs, and/or hands and arms.

Include but are not limited to the Ability to: understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information; understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions; organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology; organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
