Minimum Requirements:
Five years of instrumentation experience along with excellent knowledge of maintenance methods in an industrial environment
College diploma studies and/or trade school diploma or equivalent experience in instrumentation
Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills paired with a continuous improvement mindset
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Fluent in French and working knowledge of English

Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop the instrumentation team to deliver safe, to execute high‑quality work aligned with Suncor’s values and procedures resulting in a collaborative and inclusive team environment
Conduct regular site visits to ensure that safety practices are being followed and lead by example to demonstrate strong safety leadership through site presence and enforcement of safe work practices
Ensure instrumentation activities meet business needs, schedules, and quality expectations
Supervise field teams and support the execution of construction and maintenance directives
Manage execution priorities, schedules, and progress tracking in collaboration with the Instrumentation Supervisor
Participate in planned unit shutdowns and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance strategies and performance
Contribute to the effort to prioritize work in instrumentation as well as to the optimization of strategies for equipment maintenance

Location and other Key Details:
You will work out of our Montréal refinery, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
Hours of work are daytime regular 40 hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime during major events
Ability to work in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor in a variety of weather conditions year round, as well as the ability to work at heights
