Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 6:00AM to 2:30PM
Work Location: 1000 Italian Way, Excelsior Springs, MO
Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $31.25 per hour with additional bonus potential.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Coordinate planned maintenance tasks with production schedules to minimize operational disruptions.
- Create, prioritize, and manage work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Work closely with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production staff to address equipment reliability issues
- Work with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
- Implement best practices and contribute to the development of maintenance policies and procedures.
- Work with Production staff for line availability and priorities
- Lead weekly PM meetings with key stakeholders for planning and PM completion
- Keep Maintenance Leadership informed of any conflicts and/or issues with scheduled tasks
- Responsible for estimating time and specifying materials, equipment, and manpower on maintenance work orders.
- Coordinate parts and materials availability with work orders to allow the timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Responsible for managing data input into the work order system.
- Responsible for managing a work order backlog.
- Assist in forecasting contractor manpower requirements and track and report daily manpower usage when needed.
- Review work order requests and correct deficiencies.
- Communicate with operations to effectively plan and schedule work in accordance with their needs and their operating schedules.
- Attend the mechanic’s morning meeting to receive feedback, adjust the schedule, and be informed of emergency jobs.
Food Safety & Sanitation Compliance
- Follow safety guidelines, maintain hazard-free work areas, and comply with GMPs and food safety regulations.
- Monitor production lines, proactively address downtime issues, and support equipment changeovers.
- Follow all safety protocols, including LOTO, confined space, and hot work practices, while maintaining hazard-free work areas.
Team Collaboration, Leadership & Training
- Communicate effectively with team members to support production and learn from senior staff.
- Engage in on-the-job training to develop skills in equipment assembly, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with maintenance leadership, production teams, and other mechanics to complete projects and support production goals.
- Provide feedback to improve preventive maintenance programs and mentor less experienced team members.
Knowledge, Training and Experience:
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance planning in an industrial setting, or a minimum of 5 years as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial role
- Experience using SAP is a plus
- Strong organizational abilities, prioritizing tasks to meet objectives within budget and time constraints
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety standards
- Experience in food manufacturing is a plus
- Self-motivated individual who can work with limited supervision
- Experience in MS Office applications
Safety & Compliance:
- Knowledge of GMPs, SQF, HACCP, FSMA, and other food safety regulations.
- Commitment to following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Must wear all required personal protection equipment (PPE) associated with specific manufacturing work environment and job duties as stated in the Employee Handbook, posted policies, or as assigned by leadership personnel. To include, wearing Blue Nitrile Gloves in production Zone 1 areas.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures, such as lock out/tag out, safe lifting techniques, and all others as instructed.

Physical Demands:
- Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Tasks may involve frequent climbing, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and stooping.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and 20/20 corrected vision.
- Must have normal hearing and vision (with correction if needed), including the ability to distinguish colors for color-coded containers in production areas.
- Employees must wear all required PPE according to the specific manufacturing environment, as outlined in the Employee Handbook, posted policies, or as directed by leadership.
- Must adhere to all safety policies, including lock-out/tag-out, safe lifting techniques, and others as instructed.
- Exposure to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high areas, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical risks, and vibrations depending on the area assigned.
- Must maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any food safety or quality issues immediately to management.
