AGC BIO

Manager, Downstream Manufacturing

Copenhagen, Denmark Full time

Our purpose is to bring hope to life by enabling life-changing therapies for patients around the globe, creating a healthier and happier tomorrow. Our mission is to work side by side with our customers in order to improve patients’ lives by bringing new biopharmaceuticals to market.

At AGC Biologics, manufacturing is more than production - it is the point where science becomes real therapies for patients around the world.

As Manufacturing Manager – Downstream, you will lead one of our critical biologics production areas and play a central role in ensuring stable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing in one of Denmark’s most advanced GMP environments. You will connect strategy with daily operations, guiding teams across shifts while strengthening performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, operational ownership, and people leadership to create reliable manufacturing that truly makes an impact.

A role where operations, leadership, and impact meet

In this role, you will take ownership of the downstream production area and ensure manufacturing runs smoothly across all shifts. Your focus will be on maintaining strong performance, supporting teams, and ensuring the facility is always ready to deliver high-quality biologics production.

Your week will involve close collaboration with Shift Supervisors, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain, aligning production priorities and solving operational challenges before they become disruptions. You will monitor trends, identify improvement opportunities, and translate business priorities into clear direction for your team.

Success in this role means creating stable production flow, engaged teams, and continuous operational improvement - ensuring that biologics manufacturing remains reliable, compliant, and efficient.

A team built on collaboration and ownership

You will lead a team of four Shift Supervisors, supporting them in their leadership of shift teams while ensuring strong communication and alignment across the week.

The environment is collaborative and pragmatic. Leaders are visible, decisions are made close to the operation, and knowledge sharing is part of everyday work. Your role will be to create clarity and direction while empowering your team to take ownership of performance, safety, and quality.

As a leader, you will balance operational focus with people development - coaching leaders, strengthening team engagement, and building a culture where accountability and support go hand in hand.

What will help you succeed in this role

We imagine you bring both technical insight and leadership experience from GMP manufacturing. Most importantly, you are comfortable taking ownership of operational performance while developing the leaders around you.

You likely bring:

  • Experience from biologics or GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
  • Leadership experience managing leaders or supervisors in production settings
  • A strong understanding of downstream processes and production operations
  • Solid knowledge of GMP and quality systems
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across functions

Experience in multi-shift production environments, CDMO organizations, or audit-ready manufacturing setups will be an advantage.
