Job Summary**
The Maintenance Jr. Engineer at Jabil, Inc. will support the maintenance team in ensuring the optimal functioning and reliability of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This entry-level role involves assisting with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Job Responsibilities**
* Assist senior engineers and technicians with the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on production equipment.
* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks according to established procedures and checklists.
* Support the installation, calibration, and testing of new machinery and equipment.
* Document maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements accurately in the maintenance management system.
* Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
* Learn and apply technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Knowledge of basic electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and industrial controls.
* Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting is a plus.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
