As a Maintenance Coordinator, you'll be responsible for developing and executing effective maintenance coordination for plant equipment, manufacturing machinery, and building & grounds operations. This role also oversees the maintenance work order system and manages outside contractors to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency across the facility.
Champion Safety
Promote and enforce safe work habits in alignment with company and departmental safety goals.
Identify opportunities to improve safety processes and ensure compliance across all maintenance activities.
Plan & Schedule Maintenance Work
Ensure equipment, parts, tools, and personnel are available to execute work orders with minimal downtime.
Create, prioritize, and communicate work orders based on maintenance requests, planned maintenance, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Review completed work orders for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to plan—including labor hours, materials used, and task documentation—then formally close them.
Drive Maintenance Excellence
Implement, manage, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Collect and analyze equipment breakdown data to support reliability improvements.
Monitor progress of long-term or complex maintenance issues and projects.
Manage Contractors & Resources
Coordinate and oversee contractor services (e.g., lawn care, snow removal, fire inspections, and other facility services).
Support workforce planning by monitoring vacation schedules, overtime, and resource availability.
Assist in developing weekly maintenance schedules and resource allocation plans.
Support Workforce Development & Projects
Implement and manage training programs to expand the technical capabilities of the maintenance team.
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to support various assigned projects.
Coordinate contractors for special project work or to supplement internal maintenance resources.
Solid verbal and written communication skills for working across technical and non-technical groups.
Exceptional organizational, administrative, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated leadership aligned with Amcor Core Values.
Ability to make confident decisions within time and information constraints.
Solid analytical skills with the ability to quantify results and identify improvement opportunities.
Proficiency with computer systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.
Flexibility to work a variable schedule as needed.
Required:
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
