Role Purpose & Impact

The Transformation Specialist plays a critical role in enabling the success of APM Terminal Elizabeth’s modernization program by combining strategic communication with data-driven analytics. This position ensures clear, consistent messaging and transparent reporting to engage stakeholders, build organizational readiness, and maintain momentum throughout the transformation journey. By bridging communication and analytics, the role strengthens alignment, fosters engagement, and provides leadership with actionable insights.

Deliverables

  • Comprehensive Communication & Engagement Plan with cadence and accountability mechanisms.
  • Clear and compelling change narratives, tailored for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Progress dashboards and reports on transformation milestones, KPIs, and risks.
  • High-quality content assets (presentations, FAQs, toolkits, training materials).
  • Organized communication events (leadership briefings, employee engagement sessions, milestone celebrations).

Key Responsibilities:

Communication (50%)

  • Develop and refine the modernization program’s change narrative, ensuring clarity and relevance for diverse audiences.
  • Build and maintain the overall communication and engagement plan, identifying effective channels and opportunities.
  • Produce content that supports transformation initiatives, including presentations, FAQs, and toolkits.
  • Organize and manage communication events to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Keep leaders accountable for their communication commitments and provide guidance on messaging.

Analytics & Reporting (50%)

  • Set up and manage internal analytics and reporting frameworks for transformation progress.
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate performance data from project teams.
  • Prepare dashboards and reports for leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and resource utilization.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide insights to inform decision-making and course correction.

Required Competencies

  • Strategic Communication: Ability to translate complex transformation concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Analytical & Reporting Skills: Skilled in collecting, validating, and synthesizing data into actionable insights and visual dashboards.
  • Content Development: Expertise in creating high-quality presentations, FAQs, toolkits, and training materials.
  • Change Management Awareness: Understanding of how communication and analytics drive organizational readiness and adoption.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Ability to work seamlessly across functions, lead without authority, and maintain alignment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and details with precision.
  • Technical Proficiency
    Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) and communication platforms.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven track record in strategic communication within large-scale transformation or modernization programs.
  • Experience in data analytics and reporting, including KPI tracking and progress visualization.
  • Background in change management or organizational development.
  • Hands-on experience in content creation for executive and employee audiences.
  • Exposure to internal and external stakeholder engagement in complex organizational environments
