We have an excellent opportunity to join our Vision Care team as Maintenance and Support Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering breakdown and maintenance support for the Cut Edge and Fit network;  assisting with the implementation of new technologies and process improvements; managing special projects, including machine installations and technical assistance; supporting the planning and execution of facility relocations; and coordinating facility service, repair, and compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide technical and breakdown support for ANZ operational sites, ensuring timely recovery of plant and equipment.
  • Repair or manage the repair of all plant and equipment within the ANZ operational network.
  • Attend site callouts as required to meet operational and plant recovery demands.
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules for major plant assets across the ANZ Visioncare footprint.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers, internal customers, and contractors.
  •  Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding follow-up actions related to maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation in compliance with ANZ legislative requirements.
  • Liaise with local and international equipment suppliers to secure support for plant recovery and performance improvements.
  • Provide breakdown support and repairs for frame tracers, both internally and for customer tracers.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance and Facilities Manager to deliver facility support across the ANZ Vision Care network.
  • Providing hands-on support for plant operations and Building Management System (BMS) software.
  • Arrange or act as the point of contact for contractors performing facility-related tasks or recovery work.

Key skills required for this role include:

  • A tertiary trade qualification in either electrical or mechanical discipline is required
  • Proven experience in plant and equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and compliance standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with ANZ legislative requirements for maintenance and facility operations.
  • Willingness to travel and attend site callouts as required.
