Job Description Summary

We are looking for 6-9 Years Mainframe Conversions Developer / Mainframe Modernization Engineer with mainframe applications (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, etc.)

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Analyze existing mainframe applications (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, etc.) and understand their functional and technical design.
  • Perform code remediation, optimization, and validation of converted modules.
  • Execute data migration and validation tasks.
  • Collaborate with U.S. and India-based teams for knowledge transfer, design discussions.
  • Support automation of conversion and testing processes where possible.
  • Prepare technical documentation and contribute to reusable conversion frameworks.
  • Knowledge of open systems language such as Python and familiarity of AWS environments.  
  • Woking knowledge of Easytrieve programing is preferable

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Mainframe applications
  • Produce detailed technical analysis, robust design and develop high quality code
  • Create technical specifications from functional specifications produced by the business analysis team
  • Maintain application documentation
  • Define and adherence to programming standards
  • Provide quick turnaround to business requirements and management requests
  • Unit and integration testing of developed code and code reviews

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BE/B.Tech) or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science.

Shift Timings: 

 US shift: 5 PM to 2 AM IST
