Job Description:

  • Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders

  • Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers

  • Set up, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools in order to perform machine operations

  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process

  • Select appropriate tools, machines and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work

  • Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs

Qualifications:

  • Interprovincial Machinist certification

  • 3+ years of shop experience

  • Ability to use precision tools (calipers) to take accurate measurements

  • Boring and Rottler experience is required

  • Mathematical and analytical skills

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Note:

  • This position is located at our Regina branch on a 7x7 Continuous Shift

  • A condition of employment may include the ability to wear a respirator where applicable

  • Apprentices may be considered
