Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders
Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
Set up, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools in order to perform machine operations
Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
Select appropriate tools, machines and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs
Qualifications:
Interprovincial Machinist certification
3+ years of shop experience
Ability to use precision tools (calipers) to take accurate measurements
Boring and Rottler experience is required
Mathematical and analytical skills
Proficient using Microsoft Office programs
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Note:
This position is located at our Regina branch on a 7x7 Continuous Shift
A condition of employment may include the ability to wear a respirator where applicable
