Job Description:
Afinitas is HIRING for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist!
Afinitas is the leading manufacturer of robotic concrete pipe machinery and form equipment.
We work Monday-Thursday with 10-hour shifts. Our 2nd shift is 2:45 pm-12:45 am, with a $ 2-an-hour shift differential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Programming, setting up, and operating OKUMA CNC Machine Centers.
Operate both overhead and jib style cranes.
Operating fork trucks and other power equipment.
Ability to operate all machines in a safe and productive manner.
Inspection of finished parts using precision measuring tools (ex. Calipers, micrometers,)
Performing required preventative maintenance.
Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve production efficiency
All other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 Year CNC machinist degree and/or previous work experience as a machinist.
Set-up and operate one of the following machines: (Okuma Mill/Okuma VTM)
Read and interpret prints without supervision and/or direction.
Experience with Master Cam program.
Experience with SolidWorks program.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals. Employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.
