Key Responsibilities
The Microsoft 365 Operations Support Specialist provides regular day-to-day support for our user base using Microsoft 365 services. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, etc. to ensure optimal use of Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and others.
Exchange Online Support
• Monitor and maintain Exchange On-Prem and Exchange On-line environment.
• Monitor and maintain the health of the Exchange Online environment, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot email flow issues, mailbox permissions, calendar issues, and security settings.
• Perform Group management and other Exchange related issues.
Teams Support
• Provide technical support for Microsoft Teams, including chat, meetings, and collaboration features.
• Manage Teams policies, settings, and permissions to ensure a secure and controlled environment.
• Resolve issues related to user access, connectivity, and integration with other M365 services.
• Assist with the deployment and configuration of Teams, including training and support for end users.
SharePoint and OneDrive Support
• Monitor and maintain the OneDrive environment, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Granting necessary permissions on the site.
• Help users with file synchronization issues and data recovery.
• Manage storage quotas, sharing permissions, and security settings.
• Provide training and support for users to maximize the use of OneDrive for Business.
Power Platform:
• Handling issues related to Power Platform Environment.
• Should take initiatives to better govern Power Platform – Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Power BI, etc.
• Should be able to manage Power Platform integrations with various applications and data sources.
Generic Requirements
• Knowledge of Microsoft licensing models.
• Knowledge of App Registration, Enterprise Application Integration, and Cloud Identity Models.
• Proactively monitor Microsoft updates
• Remain UpToDate about the M365 Product future roadmaps.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2-4 years of experience in supporting M365 tools, particularly Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Power Platform.
• Strong understanding of M365 administration, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team and should be a good team player.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively support and train end users.
• Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate are a plus.
